The Catena 26 Pendant is part of the Catena collection, designed by Sean Lavin for Visual Comfort Modern (formerly Tech Lighting). Catena takes its name from the Italian word for "chain link," and the fixture lives up to it: a slim, screwless run of solid metal hardware cradles a faceted crystal light guide, so the 26 1/2" run reads as a continuous jewelry-like drape of light rather than a string of individual bulbs. Each crystal facet catches and refracts the integrated LEDs, and returns to clear, quiet elegance when the fixture is off.

At 26 1/2" overall, the Catena 26 Pendant (model SLPD649) is field-adjustable between a 8.8" minimum and 21.8" maximum finished drop, so it can be trimmed to sit low over a table or hang long over an entry or stair. It is offered as a Remote fixture, which pairs with a separate remote driver mounted out of sight above the ceiling for the cleanest possible canopy, or as a Surface fixture, with the transformer housed at the canopy for a simpler single-point installation — order whichever matches the ceiling condition. Integrated LEDs are field-selectable between 2700K warm white and 3000K soft white at 90 CRI, so one fixture can be tuned to match either an incandescent-warm room or a slightly crisper, neutral scheme.

Screwless solid-metal construction lets power flow through the fixture's pivot joints without visible hardware, keeping the profile as thin in person as it looks in photos. Damp Rated construction means the Catena 26 Pendant also works in a covered outdoor location such as a porch or breezeway, not just dry interior rooms. Also available in 41", 57" lengths as the other two Catena Pendants.
