The Hinkley 6638 is a 6.5-foot surface-mount lamp post with a cast aluminum base, finished in Black. Rather than being buried, it bolts down to a concrete pad, patio, pier cap or deck footing, which makes it the right choice where digging is impractical or the surface is already paved.

The decorative cast base, about 10 inches across, gives the post a more finished, traditional look than a plain pole. It works well at the edge of a patio, beside a front walk, next to steps or at a driveway apron. Top it with a Hinkley post-mount lantern for a coordinated look.

All-aluminum construction means the post will not rust and holds up to heavy weather and salt. Plan for a solid mounting surface and an electrical feed through the base. Outdoor finishes carry a 2-year warranty.
