Legrand Radiant Kitchen Countertop Outlet

The Legrand Pass & Seymour Kitchen Countertop Outlet puts code-compliant power right on a kitchen island or peninsula, without a pop-up tower or a box on the side of the cabinet. It mounts through a single round hole in the counter and sits nearly flush, with a slim surface-mount profile that wipes clean. Choose 20 amp (CP498TR20BK Matte Black, CP498TR20W Matte White) or 15 amp (CP498TR15BK Matte Black, CP498TR15W Matte White).

Which amperage? Kitchen countertop circuits are 20 amp, so choose 20A unless your electrician specifies 15A.

It is UL 498 listed as a countertop and work surface assembly and passes UL's half-gallon spill test, with tamper-resistant shutters and a corrosion- and chemical-resistant body built for real kitchen use. Legrand rates it the smallest profile in the industry, taking up nearly 40% less space on and under the counter than competing countertop outlets.

Installation is simple: the quick-connect tail is wired above the counter, then the outlet drops in and locks with a hand-turn nut underneath. No tools are needed below the counter and no separate junction box is required. It must be on a GFCI-protected circuit.

Decorative lid sold separately. Finish the outlet with the Legrand Kitchen Countertop Outlet Lid (CP498L) in Matte Black, Matte White, Brushed Stainless Steel or Brushed Champagne Bronze. If you plan to use a lid, drill the hole at 2-1/4" instead of 2".
