Visual Comfort Modern (formerly Tech Lighting) Akova X-Large Pendant

Sean Lavin's Akova wraps a sphere in overlapping metal bands, and the X-Large scales that idea up to an 18" acrylic globe — enough presence to anchor a great room or hang low over a long island. The banding does double duty: it breaks up what would otherwise be a plain globe and throws a soft striped pattern once the lamp is lit.

Formerly sold under the Tech Lighting name, the Akova X-Large (700TDAKV18) is the big sibling of the 13.7" Akova Grande Pendant (700TDAKV13) — same two-tone banding, same E26 medium-base socket, just more of it. The drop range runs 25" to 162.9", so one fixture works over a kitchen island at standard height or drops the better part of fourteen feet into a stairwell or entry.

Available in two finish combinations — Matte Black and Aged Brass or Aged Brass and Bright Brass — each sold as a bare fixture or with a 2700K, 90 CRI LED lamp already installed. Buy it fixture-only (700TDAKV18BR, 700TDAKV18RBR) and lamp it yourself, or order it lamped (700TDAKV18BR-LED927, 700TDAKV18RBR-LED927) and it's ready to hang.
